Miami has arguably the hottest nightlife in the country right now. But the urban nightlife scene in South Florida only has a handful of top flight promoters. One name that stands out on that short list is Michael Gardner of Headliner Market Group.

Gardner originally came to South Florida on a basketball scholarship to the Unviersity of Miami. After his career ended, Gardner stayed in the Miami area and eventually got into party and event promotions cutting his teeth on South Beach doing some

of the hottest special events. In 2001, Gardner established Headliner Market Group, named after a Coconut Grove barber shop that he had an ownership stake in, to legitimize his events and promotion interests. Headliner and Gardner have been a dominant force in the South Florida nightlife ever since.

Gardner and his company have promoted many high profile events over the last few years as well as hosted some of the hottest urban weekly events in South Florida. But the crown jewel to date on the Headliner Market Group resume is his current Sunday night event, Soul Kitchen Sundays at the Forge Restaurant. Gardner co-hosts with another South Florida promoting mainstay, Louis Oliver. Not only is this event one of the hottest

parties in South Florida, but arguably it could be said that this is the number one Sunday event in America.
